.Somewhere in Moscow, Jan 1st 1936.Urgh, my head. I think Khrushchev brought too much Vodka to the new year's party. Now to get back to the estate before my guards cat-Hello.And now I'm hearing voices in my head.Uhh, not really. Turn around, sir.Oh. And what business do you have with me? If you want to speak with me, please make an appointm-I would prefer it if you heard me out now, while we're both here.
An opportunity that will be beneficial for the both of us. Ahhh yes, an 'opportunity'.
Hello, does anyone know if it's possible to spawn a ship for a specific country in a specific location, I know it's possible for ground troops with state scope and all but not sure if there is something similar for naval units:.
- Mar 2, 2019 - This command can be used to spawn a specified amount of a unit in a. You must add '-debug' to your HOI4 launch options – it will not work.
- This happens to me to, have you figured out how to fix this? I put '-debug' in set launch options on steam and when I'm in the main menu I can see it says (debug) at the bottom. I want to spawn in units yet it says 'command only available for developers' I don't know what the problem is.
Now then, what would you consider such an opportunity to be beneficial? Perhaps you wish to take my wallet, giving me the benefit of not dying on this cold night. I would say-.bang.-that I have a better proposition.Well that was rude.
Perhaps I have had enough to drink tonight. My aim seems to have been off.No, no. I'm just not. Now, you could run screaming, or you could hear me out.
If not, I'll just keep following you until you do. It's not like anything you have can stop me. You have my attention. But first, I would like to know your name. It seems hardly proper for a man who could get shot in the face without flinching to be called 'you' all the time.My name is Ivan. And before you ask, I do know who you are Stalin.
We're going to have a lot to talk about. So, this is the state of Russia right now.Yes. As the newly promoted general advisor, this is what you will be dealing with.Pitiful.It was the best I could do after the revolutions ended. Even now, it is among the strongest armies and industries of the world. An army that can't even arm all of its soldiers properly is hardly worth the mention, and the great Soviet Industries are not yet all they could be. However, we will get to that later. Let us start out with the basics.Have you any thoughts on where to direct your researchers and theorists towards this year?I have had a few ideas, however I would like to hear what you would have to say first.Well then, there's a few areas I would like to prioritize.Foremost among these are industry and engineering. If we want to truly advance the Soviet Union as a World Power, then we'll need to leverage every advantage we can against our enemies.
That means turning the great minds of the people towards the future as efficiently as possible. Helping research some basic theories in this area should help greatly with their progress everywhere.Next is funding more physical engineering pursuits. Helping the scientists figure out new techniques to build will help us uncover the true potential of the People's Union. Those are both all well and good. Personally, I would prefer that we focus at least some effort towards the military theories that have been surfacing recently. Many of my generals have personally come forwards with suggestions for advancements, some of which sound very sensible.Ok, more doctrine is always good.Indeed. Progress on that shall begin shortly. This is it, is everything to your liking Stalin? It is good enough. Now, to focus on different matters.I see you have taken initiative in ordering the creation of more factories on the border to Sinkiang. It is as good a place as any, and their ruler is a Soviet Republic in all but name, anyway.
He will not attack us.You have also begun negotiations with Siam about the rubber shipments, too?Yes, I was planning on doing so anyway. Though it pains me to say so, the country is not entirely self-sufficient yet. Luckily, rubber is the only thing that we truly lack now.
If that issue is dealt with, perhaps we should move on?Agreed. As you have pointed out, our army has some. Issues with properly getting supplies to the soldiers. If we are to get anywhere, I think you would agree that prioritizing their equipment is a good place to start. Fill the gaps with what we can, and get everyone up to full strength.Good. I would recommend putting a particular focus on the tanks.Any reason?I have. Plans that require a few divisions and the cooperation of our generals. Now, I have plans to revise the Soviet Constitution. I presume this does not run counter to your goals? Not at all.
Feel free to let me look over things if you get writer's block. I've bullshitted enough term papers to pad things out.Okay, I'll keep that in mind. What's a term paper?Recruitment is also going well, though I do think that we would be better served by equipping all of our soldiers first.Don't question my logic.Don't test me. I am still the premiere here, and I would like an explanation eventually. However, it is not totally offsetting the gains the factories make, so I don't really care. I can wait.Awesome.
Now, time to eat into those supply counts even further! I'm not going to like this, am I?What is this, Ivan?It is a plan, Stalin.
I would like it if you could get the soldiers, ill equipped as they are, a bit more training before either of us go do anything drastic to the world. I had them separated for the sake of convenience. Voroshilov will hand putting most of the infantry through exercises and drills. Kulik will train the NVKD and the Cavalry divisions into something marginally useful. Rokossovsky will manage the few tank divisions that we have understaffed and bring them up to par.
Zhukov will take the rest of the tanks, and Tukhachevsky will manage the infantry once they start advancing in skill.I see no problems with this plan. I'll send out the orders soon.Thank you, sir. I'll start tallying the required equipment numbers for this.I take it back. That looks like a massive problem.EhhEhh? The army looks to be lacking 40 thousand kits of equipment! And you plan and making that gap even wider!?It'll solve itself in time.
It's not like I'm going to keep one training the troops forever.Oh, I almost forgot! Could you give the new troops a deployment location?Any preference?Closer to Poland but away from the main body of the army. After that, I don't care. Throw a dart at a map or something for all I care.I'll have them gather at Mikhaylovka then.Awesome.What do you plan to do, after everything is ready?Do you see the faces of these men?Oh, and this incompetent noodle, too.Yes, they are rather important leaders of the world.Good, you recognize them.Any reason you seem so focused on them?I'm from a world much like this one, though around 80 years into the future.
Those three are some of the most hated men in history. We're going to beat the shit out of them and take their stuff.Sup guys, this is Iandude0 here just starting my first let's play ever. I don't know why I got the idea of myself just showing up in Russia to bug Stalin, but ever since I got really into HOI4 the thought just wouldn't leave me. So, here it is. If anyone has any questions or suggestions about what to do, feel free to voice them. I do have a sort of plan here, but I'm still relatively new to the game (he says with 47 hours logged, unironically) so any tips or pointers you could give would be appreciated. Click to expand. Click to shrink.I honestly have no idea.
I haven't tried this yet, but perhaps when the SSR event pops up, you could decline the invitation to puppet them, and see if it'll later spawn the annexation event?Anyways, thought of some new advice to give, in regards to division design:. Before we begin, rename all of the divisions to English; less of a pain in the ass to read than Russian.
Now then, first: the basic Infantry Division. Normally most people would recommend the template of 7 Infantry and 2 Artillery, but I've found that the templete I've come up with looks to work just as well if not better: 6 Infantry, 2 Artillery, and 2 Anti-Tank, placed into two columns, 3 Infantry and 1 Artillery & Anti-Tank in each column (in that order). Either way, though, both the typical recommended template and my custom template both add up to a 20 Combat Width division, perfectly ideal. As for Support Companies, I use these four: the Recon, Engineering, Field Hospital, and Signal. Now then comrade Ivan, I know what you want the Union to do. I admit my own sympathies toward this pursuit but I must ask, how do you plan to have us take down all three of those countries? Even one of them alone would be a great challenge for us to over come, though I am sure they will eventually break before our might. There are many opportunities that shall come to pass in this year, and I shall help you take advantage of every one.
Do you know some fool called the conflict a few decades ago 'The War to end all wars'?I believe I'd heard something along those lines, yes.Well, he was wrong. Very, very wrong.
The great war turned the world into a barrel of gunpowder, and soon someone's going to start screwing with matches. And someone did that in this world you came from?Yes, quite a few people did. I think it would be best if we were the ones who held the matches. Sometime soon, a few wars are going to start. First, a rebellion Spain. What happened there?
They seemed together, if not somewhat stable.A man named Francisco Franco, leader of a large group of Fascist fanatics in the country, will rebel against the democracy that refused to elect someone like him into the high office. How does this concern us then? Let the two sides fight, and have the Capitalists and Autocrats destroy themselves in the process.Normally I would agree with you, but there are two important factors. One: the Fascists winning will make the rest of the world less relaxed. Overthrowing a democratic government will have the rest of the west on edge. We cannot have that if my plan is to succeed.
Secondly, the faction that will oppose them is led by Jose Diaz.A communist ally of ours who had been stirring up things within Spain. Yes, I can see now how intervention would be favorable.Good, now I imagine the scientists have some things to speak with you about soon. And Hitler lights the first sparks. Color me unsurprised.Indeed. On another note, I have finished the final draft of the New Soviet constitution.
With this, I shall show the world the new ideals of the Soviet Peoples! And what would those be?Equality in everything, regardless of race, religion, birth or wealth. All men are equals first under the Soviet Union, and all shall be given the chance to better themselves in this unforgiving world. Under the strength of the proletariat's will, we shall liberate the suffering, end the injustices of the bourgeoisie and bring those who work with us to new heights of prosperity. To go hand in hand with this new revision to the constitution, I have decided to pursue a new line of thought for the propaganda for the following years. Rather than focusing on the common man's plight, and how all are one I believe it would be beneficial to show what each man can be if they are willing to work together with others. Creating heroes that people shall strive to be, rather than encouraging them to simply stay as they are.A good choice. It was one I'd make myself. It shall help us lead the Union to great things.Speaking of which, considering the new constitution and the increase in propaganda that you'll be turning out I think now would be a good time to start leveraging our goodwill to push the Soviet economy towards military matters.
You should be able to free up a lot of resources if you can convince the people.I can do so with ease. And with that, our production has increased by a massive margin. Now all we must do is be patient and wait a while. The scientists have reported increased productivity with the new inventions, most notably a piece of equipment they call an 'adding machine'. Though considered a curiosity by many of those in the lab, it has helped spark their own creative minds. Throughout the Union, the people are sharing more ideas and more open to new ways of thinking things.
Moreover, these electrical advancements have also allowed some of the scientists to give ideas of their own.Good, keep them on the path that will help them become more productive. Though it will take some time to pay off, when it does it shall make the lives of everyone easier. On a better note, a large number of the battalions have finally completed their formal training.Good, send the seasoned infantry to Tukhachevsky. He'll be an asset for us.Are you sure that is wise? He seems to have a strong sway in the army, even though I have heard rumors about his devotion to the Communist cause. If he does something untoward I shall take care of him myself, sir.And it looks like the remaining tank divisions have finished their training too. Give the one with the most supplies over the Zhukov, otherwise have Rokossovsky keep control of them. Just tell him to stop running drills.Ok.
Why the single transfer though? You'll know soon enough.I would prefer to know now.Tough luck. I want it to be a surprise. You know, I can stop listening to you if you make me angry enough. And I'll nag you incessantly until what I say gets done. What are you going to do, shoot me?I'm fighting the urge to try again. What should I do with the cavalry and NVKD that have finished training?Send them to that other marshall you have.
I might ask you to transfer command later, but right now I just want everything in order. And thus another country falls to the depredations of the Fascists.Luckily, apparently no one gives a shit if it's the Africans losing. That's a terrible mindset, but it works to our advantage here.On another note, have you reconsidered my proposal about changing your trade laws? Free trade does mean free ideas, after all.
The Union has resources to spare anyway, so it's not like it'll be a massive hit to possible expansions for the army. The argument is a compelling one, but this does mean more insurgents and spies could get in.Perhaps so, but I believe the advantages outweigh the costs here. Every little bit of help towards the Soviet economy is a good move in my opinion. It is what separates the good from the great. Though if this does come back to bite us, you will be held responsible. That's a risk I'm willing to take.On a happier note, the new propaganda campaign has been an astounding success. I've received reports from around the country of men and women going the extra length to help become exemplars of the Soviet ideal like these grand heroes.Even better, this new way of thinking seems to have injected some courage into a few of your generals. I've been hearing good things about the advancements Rokossovsky has been attempting with the tank battalions, and Zhukov has sent you a few ideas on doctrine I think would be worth looking over. They might be worth letting into your inner circle.No.
Though they seem to be doing well, I will not let them here until I am completely sure of their loyalty to the Soviet cause. If I cannot have that, then I shall keep them from my confidence. So be it. I still think you're wasting an opportunity, but I won't press the issue now. Now, to capitalize upon the gains Russia has been making in the fields of science and technology I'd suggest continuing the propaganda campaign as before, but this time showing an emphasis on the great Soviet minds. Give the intellectuals something to believe in and strive for, and you'll inspire them to greater heights. That makes sense. You do seem particularly focused on the scientific advancements here. Is there any particular reason why?We need every advantage we can get here, and the sciences hold the key to many of such things.
If we cannot keep up with the world in advancements, then we will be left behind.Ones such as this, I presume?Yes. New methods of construction will serve the Union well as it prepares for the coming hardships. And now I believe it would be wise to help boost the sorely lacking production lines. Any complaints?None. Now, how about we take a break to watch the Olympics? That was a good distraction for the few days it was on. I do find the novelty of owning a television to see such an event interesting in and of itself.Yes, it was a fun time to watch. I did think the decorations the Germans brought were quite gaudy though. You'll find no argument from me there, unlike our previous discussion on the fencing tournament.Let's not bring that up again, shall we?
Now let's just wait for something else to happen, okay? Why am I not surprised this would happen next?It was as you said. Spain is split between the Fascists and the Communists. Could you tell me your grand plan for the country now?In my world this conflict was won by Franco after a long and bloody civil war. The Republicans fought valiantly but in the end it was not enough.
The Fascists had been receiving aid and volunteers from Germany and Italy while the Republicans had only ourselves and Mexico to lean on for aid. That seems horribly skewed towards the enemy side.It was. However, I have a plan. Get in contact with Zhukov. He's going to be taking a vacation, if the Spanish would be willing to take him.I have received confirmation from the Republicans that they will be able to take the divisions Zhukov was leading. He's on his way to their port now.Good, and it seems that the rest of the divisions have finished training while he's in transit. I would like it if you sent them to the Polish and Romanian borders.Another part of your plan?I'm betting you can guess what that is.I am left to wonder if you are actually brilliant or just insane if you are planning what I think you are. What about the Japanese? They'd been eyeing Eastern Russia for a long time.
What if they act? They're going to find themselves occupied in a short while. Long before they could affect anything here, at least.Against my better judgement, I shall do so.I sincerely hope that your idea works out.Good, and while they move into position let us see how Zhukov does in Spain. If it is true that the Republicans lost this war, why are you so assured that it will be our victory? It's simple, really. We can't win this conflict traditionally. So we're going to cheat.Next Update: The Spanish ROFLSTOMP Civil War, and further preparations for my crazy schemes. As for Support Companies, I use these four: the Recon, Engineering, Field Hospital, and Signal. Recon and Engineering should be obvious enough, and give generally beneficial stat buffs with little to no downside, so they're always a must-have; Field Hospital reduces EXP loss and casualties, useful for keeping your divisions up to snuff in training quality and manpower; and lastly, Signal Companies give an Initiative boost as well as acting as fire-control support for the artillery (useful to have for the above Infantry Division templates). Click to expand. Click to shrink.Signal companies are pretty worthless, especially if Iandude goes NKVD primacy.
Initiative mechanically is a boost to reinforcement rate (meaning units are more likely to join a battle if there is enough combat width for them), and gives a minuscule boost to Planning Speed. The reinforcement rate boost is completely eclipsed by the massive 30% bonus NKVD Primacy gives, and the planning speed improvement is so small that it basically doesn't matter (the 5% boost from L1 Signal companies means planning speed goes from 2% to 2.1%).The fluff may mention the Signal Companies acting as Artillery fire-control, but there's no actual extra benefit to using them with Artillery. Also, for the generic Tank division, it's greatly improved by removing 2 medium tanks & one Mech/Mob infantry, and replacing them with 2 medium SPArtillery. The soft attack on SPArt is incredible, and will help the Tank Divisions break lines open even faster.

This matches with his army's color. Any other military staff that get roles will also speak in their own color. You have been warned.Hello, this is General Zhukov I presume?I an still not sure about this.It is. Who is this I am speaking to?Just let me do this, and you'll gain a victory. My name is Ivan, and I have been appointed by Stalin to assist you in the civil war.But we have not vetted Zhukov yet, I am still no-I highly doubt that. I would prefer some confirmation from Stalin himself before I take orders from you.Let me do my damn job, Stalin. You want to win the war, right? If that is what you wish.I do, but letting another person i-It would go a long way towards settling what doubts I have if you could do so.Look, just give me a little trust here, Stalin. It'll be fine.Give me a second.But-.sounds of the radio being hastily shoved to someone else.Just do it already, or I'll find a way to do it anyway.Hello, Comrade Zhukov.
This man is an advisor of mine, and he has assured me that he would lead our forces to victory. Listen to his orders. There, it's done. Is that all?Fine, my Premier. If you believe this man, then I shall give him a chance.Yes.
You can go sulk in a corner now if you're so offended.Excellent. Now, let me look over the current situation with what information I have been collecting from the Spaniards. If you could add to that, I would be appreciative.Noted.As you can see, both sides have a lot of men on the field already for such a small theater. Normally, such a field would probably be a bit daunting.I take it by your tone that such is not the case for you?Yes. This is a war fought with soldiers, and we are bringing tanks to the battle. I'd hardly call what we're doing fair.Since when was war ever fair?Ooh, I like you already.
You are correct. It never is, and we'll exploit every little gap and chink in the armor of the enemy that we can.
If we must stab our enemy in the nether regions to win, then we'll do so. Speaking of dirty fighting. Is that a gap in their lines?Yes, and guess what? It's just wide enough to fit five tank divisions, and thin enough to block anything else coming through.Oh, this is going to be fun.
I'll have the men take advantage of that breach, and then attempt to encircle the separated garrison.Let's get going then. Sevilla is the heart of the revolution. If we snuff it out, the enemy will start to break. Are those Germans I see?Yeah, they'll have sent some volunteers here. I'd expect some for Italy too. Maybe Japan of the fascists are really desperate. My troops will begin encirclement now, first attacking the port of Cadiz to cut off their supplies before slowly tightening the noose around their divisions. To the North, one of the divisions has launched a delaying attack on the Northern group of enemies as the other tanks ran through the ground near Cordoba. The assault on Cadiz was successful.
In an effort to defend their largest holding, the group stationed at the port opted to retreat towards Sevilla instead of taking the chance to get to safety. Brave men.Fools.Yes.
Now give my group some time to tighten the two pockets of enemies here, and you'll get the results soon.Your men work fast, Zhukov.I only get the best results from them sir. It is what I demand of them, after all. Sevilla has fallen, and six enemy divisions now lie dead. My men have also taken the initiative to surround an isolated group of mountaineers that had gotten separated from the main group of the army. The others are helping clear out the garrisons North of Cordoba. Say what you will about the Germans, but they fight like animals when cornered.
After that, what would you recommend I do?Proceed to the North, and prevent any hopes the enemy has for securing Madrid. And if the enemy here surrenders? They're fanatics. I highly doubt they will.
Any that do shall be treated as decently as they can before being handed over to the Republicans.Who will execute them for rebelling. As I said, they're not likely to do anything but die fighting. Now, all we have to do is wait.Ah, Comrade Ivan. How goes the war?The soldiers are showing the superiority of Soviet steel to the socialist Spaniards, sir.You really wanted to say that, didn't you.I got bored while waiting for Zhukov's men to crush a few pockets of rebels.Well, while you were doing that, I would like to say that my propaganda team has focused even more heavily on the scientific angle. Already, men and women throw themselves into new ideas with a renewed zeal, willing to help advance the cause of socialist science! Moreover, while you were fighting these rebels, I have expanded the campaign to cover more martial pursuits. Now the Soviet citizen knows that the best way to help advance their world is to give everything to their country, in whatever way they can.Continuing this, comrade Lysenko has also been helping to create a greater arm of the Soviet government's scientific pursuits.
I think I shall indulge him in this.Urgh.Is something the matter, Comrade Ivan? No, no. Do it.I assumed you would agree with me. Though, you sound oddly reluctant on this.
Why?Its nothing, sir. Just a bit of personal distaste. I'd gladly swallow it if you would be willing to do so for something else. What do you want?Well, there's a man who has been trying to get your attention recently. Nikolai Vosnesensky. I want you to hire him.You cannot be serious. That man is practically a capitalist hims-No, he is dedicated to the Soviet cause. Give him some leeway, and he'd show his gratitude by helping to make the Soviet industries something truly great.
He may not be ideal for a communist, but he's what we've got. I would be okay if you do not go about it, but I would be disappointed in you.And you'd continue asking me about it at inopportune times until I say yes?Bingo.Soviet sigh.I assume that's a yes?It is. This had better work. How goes the progress in near Madrid, Zhukov? It goes well, Comrade. The enemy had come close to taking the city itself through a gap in the Republican's defense of the mountains. However, my divisions managed to catch the group there and crushed them with ease.Cut through the Japanese horsemen when they exhaust themselves in their attempt to damage the tanks, and take the land near the river. Perhaps one on the other side so you can begin an assault on Valladolid.
Try to cut off the group close to the capitol.I'll get it done. The soldiers are cut off, surrounded by my armor divisions. It will only be a matter of time until they fall.Good.
After that, send a division or two to threaten Valladolid and Burgos while having the others turn towards their capitol in Zaragoza. You've destroyed enough of their divisions that there should be a good selections of gaps to exploit.Speaking of things to exploit, Ivan, it seems that the scientists' efforts in advancing the computing technology has gone through. I believe I can predict what you would like to do next, too.Oh?
Do tell. You have a tendency to focus on how to improve the soviet industry as a whole, and the one thing I had heard about from them all was debates on how to specialize in certain methods of production. The two camps became distinct as I asked about a new possible route. Lysenko asked to take a portion the farming land in the union and convert it to isolated factories.
On the other side, Kurchatov suggested instead to make veritable cities of factories in the already populous towns of Russia. The two started to argue their ideas loudly before I came to a decision. And that was?Kurckatov was more convincing, so I told them to work on a way to start making these industrial cities possible. Lysenko tried to bring up the concerns about creating easy targets, however I do not think they were relevant.Excellent. Now, I shall go back to Zhukov and see how the war is going. It is good to see you, Comrade. You seem happy.I think I have a right to be. Take a look here.My men have managed to capture Zaragoza by exploiting a hole in the enemy's defenses, while also dashing a possible effort to rush to Barcelona by the fascists. The rebels are crumbling under the sustained effort of the people's will.
A Japanese division also managed to get trapped while the tanks took their Capitol, and my commander there says it won't be long before they are broken and his men can rejoin the fights elsewhere, where my men seem to be less successful in their assaults.Even better, it seems the last of the Germans have been cornered on the plains near the port of Valencia. They tried to break out into the Republican lines, but the men I freed up quickly encircled them in response for their foolish charge.Good, the more you destroy the Germans, Japanese and Italians here the less w-Italians, sir?Why was that a question, Zhukov?Well, there haven't been any sightings of Mussolini's troops in Spain.
I'm actually quite surprised, as you seemed sure they'd be here.Really, are you sure you didn't miss anything? It's not like they wouldn't have a reason to refrain from sending troops here. Let me check this ov-Spaghetti flailing intensifies.STALIN! GET OVER HERE NOW.Is there a problem with the war, Comrade Ivan?!
Why are you laughing so hard. No, it's ju-snerk-, it's just-wheeze- the Italians HAVEN'T FUCKING FINISHED ETHIOPIA OFF YET!!!But I thought they declared victory?I think they did. Oh lord, that makes this even more pathetically funny. Of all the things they could do incompetently, they chose that. Excuse me, but I think I'm gonna go get something to wipe these tears from my face. I'll be back soon to see how the war is going.
Okay, I'm back from my little outburst Zhukov. How are things going in Spain?Very well, Comrade. My men's tanks worked with the Spanish Army to corner the Rebels my men had surrounded before. The pocket of resistance held by the Germans has crumbled under the weight of two divisions I had sent their a bit earlier, while you were busy laughing. There has been a push to retake Zaragoza, but it has been unsuccessful so far thanks to the efforts of the Republicans.
Now that they have gotten time to build momentum, they have become a decent force to hold off the rebellious groups. It does help that most of the rebels are dead and scattered by you. Good work on that, by the way.Thank you. And you do have a point. The Republicans have launched an attack to retake Bilbao, which had fallen early on in the fight. The Fascists are spread to thin to stop them, really.Good. Once you finish with them come around and cut off the forces directly North of you from the East, blocking off their access to the mountains. Make sure the Japanese cavalry doesn't make it out.Of course.Comrade Ivan, I have good news! What has gotten you so cheery, Stalin? The creation of Lysenko's research branch within the government has been completed, and work has begun immediately on the development of a new tank chassis.
It seems like a good investment.Yeah, it is. Good for Lysenko you anti-biologist bastard. What was that?Nothing, so what's next? The Five year plan needs to be completed. We were sidetracked by other things, but now is perfect time for the industry of Russia to gain a good boost.A good idea. We'll need every factory we can get, soon. And it looks like the encirclement of the Japanese soldiers is progressing well.Yes, the three divisions I have will begin an assault on them soon, while two of the others finish clearing up some resistance to the south.Send them to cut off the ports near and in Bilbao. I want to make sure none of them escape to cause more trouble for our Spanish allies. They are on their way now.The Japanese holdouts have been taken care of.I assume you mean they are dead then?Yes. It took one hundred bullets, a collapsed bridge and a particularly angry baker if my soldiers are to be believed.Send them towards Bilbao too, given the two divisions aren't there yet. These soldiers seem pathetically disorganized. That's what happens when you kill practically everyone else who could fight.I wasn't complaining. It just means my tanks can roll over them faster.Noted.They won't last long now.
My soldiers are just about ready to cut off the port, and then finish any that remain. A group of fascists are trying to break out against the Republican lines but at this point they stand no chance, no matter how well supplied they may be. The shall be destroyed soon. Aaany day now.Just give it time, Ivan.
They're almost broken, and the ports is ours. Once again the rebels have displayed a frightening lack of self-preservation instincts, when the division that chose to defend the port retreated to the larger group nearby rather than go out to sea.
I guess it really wouldn't matter in the end, though. This war is practically won already.Indeed. Speaking of which, I need to contact Stalin about my proposal. No need, comrade. My Premier!Stand down, Zhukov. Comrade Ivan has a plan that I have found more and more appealing as time goes on.So you've agreed to it?I have.
The pieces are being set into place as we speak. I hope you are right about this.I am, and we'll be there to reap the benefits for the Union. Is this anything I should know of, sir?I thin-Not until after the conflict is over. Then I shall think on the matter.Understood.Understood.This conflict is nearing it's end anyway. It should be close now.Apparently closer than you think. The fascists left their final bastion without a garrison, in a desperate bid to gain back some of the territory they had lost. The Republican general has informed me his troops are closing in the secure Coruna now.Really?
Wow, that amount of incompetence is honestly surprising.I agree. This would be the end of the war, then?So it would seem. The Spanish military is tallying up an estimated butcher's bill for the war as we speak. They said they wanted to present it to you personally. Why?It seems you've saved a lot of lives, Zhukov. This casualty count is ridiculous, sir!
I cannot believe the Fascists lost seventeen men for every Republican soldier. It's all because of you, man. You did well, be proud of your accomplishments.I couldn't have done it without your help, Comrade.Thank you.And with that, the war is over. Make sure to spend some time on the way back in Barcelona, General.
I think you've earned a small vacation for your actions.Would Stalin agree to that?If I'm lying, do you really care?A large part of me say no.Good, now give Stalin's regards to Diaz sometime after Franco's public execution. I know he'll be busy, but I think the president will give some time to talk with the hero of the Spanish civil war.I don't think he'll call me that, Ivan.Trust me, he will. And I'll never let you live it down Mr. Oh, and bring me back a bottle of their best wine so we can properly celebrate a victory well won.Fine.
I shall hope to meet you when the troops get back.Good.He's going to be busy in Madrid for a while, Stalin. So what did you want that he should not hear? The five year plan is complete, and Soviet Union is ready. However, I find myself having some. Issues. In what way?In ways relating to you. Fine then, I'll play along. How so?You would have gone behind my back and forced yourself in command of the war. You almost revealed the plan to Zhukov without my permission and may have ruined everything.
All for the sake of this nebulous plan that even now sometimes sounds like the ramblings of an insane person's ambitions.Zhukov's not going to be a traitor, Stalin. He is not the one I'm truly worried about. I have guarantee that you'll stay loyal to me, Ivan.I wouldn't be so stupid as to stab you in the back, sir.Fine, if you are so confident in your loyalty then prove it.There are enemies of mine everywhere, including the Soviet government. I'll give you temporary control of the NVKD.
Find them and bring them to me.Yes, Stalin.Next Update: Ivan tries to beat the paranoid out of Stalin through the Soviet government.A/N: Since I know you're all wondering, the thing with the Italians is because of a save screwup I made when trying to get through the portion initially. I'd uploaded the screenshots, but forgot to actually record a save for the LP when the war procced. It did give us that gem though. On the other hand, save shenanigans are also why this update is a lot more sparse with action than I originally intended. Me shut down my computer before he remembered to upload the initial photos.
Click to expand. Click to shrink.Preferably you won't purge any military staff at all, and just deal with the incoming civil war afterwards. But given the storyline you're telling at the same time, such a thing wouldn't be particularly fitting with the narrative - Stalin would be pissed at your inaction causing this civil war.
Though you could spin it off as the NKVD going rogue on its own and stabbing you in the back, refusing to listen to your orders.
